Hello, I’m Alan Farquharson. If you are here, I guess you already know that, though! I’ve just finished studying at University, (Manchester Metropolitan University), doing a BSc in Computing. In my last (3rd) year, I did a placement at Chameleon Interactive, as the Server Administrator, and mainly a Senior Web Developer, with a team of software engineers from all over Manchester. I worked on projects such as AMREF, HelpAge, North West Air Ambulance and NASS. Whilst there, I developed my skills in PHP (OOP and functional), MySQL, HTML, AJAX/Javascript, XML, RSS, Photoshop usage and SSH (Linux – Mainly CentOS, Debian and RHEL).
I also run a webserver for a few friends, at MMUDev, and now and again help out at Exoware. If you’d like some usage on the server, and are from MMU, give me a shout using the contact page!
